•75 Pets kept safely at home and out of the shelter system through our Emergency Pet Owner Support program.

•1000 Pounds of pet food distributed to families in crisis.

•30 Nights of affordable, emergency boarding provided.

•25 Spay and neuter surgeries facilitated to combat pet overpopulation

•10 Vulnerable animals rescued, rehabilitated, and placed into loving, permanent homes through our Sanctuary.

We believe in maximizing every dollar donated to create the largest possible impact for our city. By intervening before a pet is surrendered, we save lives and taxpayer resources.

•The Cost of Sheltering: It costs local municipal shelters an average of $500+ to impound, medically process, and house a single surrendered animal.

•The Cost of Prevention: It costs Paws of Sacramento an average of just $250 to provide the subsidized veterinary care and food support needed to keep that same pet in their loving home.

•Taxpayer Savings: Last year alone, our diversion programs saved the Sacramento municipal shelter system an estimated $[Insert Number (Pets helped x $500)], preserving critical kennel space for true strays and abuse cases.
